Hunger Games Catching Fire REVIEW

Welcome to the Hunger Games Catching Fire in Depth Review

The Hunger Games trilogy is one of the most popular book series’s in the world, but we are not here to talk a bout the book. The first Hunger Games was kinda a half-half movie half the people liked it and the others not so much. To be truthfully honest the first one took to long to get into the actual story and there wasn’t really the curiosity and a suspense of the book.

This second movie named after the second book in the trilogy, is admittedly better than the first, with the action packed thrill and suspense of the book being incorporated directly into the movie. Of course the story is pretty hard set and as I said in a previous post, the director, amazingly talented Francis Lawrence didn’t have much room to spread his wings but he has created something truly amazing out of what he was given.

Of course large parts of the book were left out but that is the case with most novel-based movies, but the essentials are still there and the events haven’t been twisted completely put of proportion. I believe Francis created an absolutely brilliant suspense when Katniss was about to enter the arena the music, the camera angles, everything was spot on, I really felt what Katniss would have been feeling, the fright, the hopelessness and of course the sadness and guilt of being forced to kill the other victors. The director managed to incorporate more of this brilliant combination throughout the movie giving it an absolutely brilliant atmosphere.

On the actors side of things we have the same great line-up from the first movie, Jennifer Lawrence playing Katniss, Josh Hutcherson as Peter Mellark and the terrific Liam Hemsworth as Gale. But some new faces have joined the crew, one of them being the one and only Sam Clafin from Snow White and the Huntsmen who plays the handsome, charming and slightly unstable Finnick Odare.

As we draw nearer to the trilogy finale we grow increasingly more excited to see what the Hunger Games producers will create to finish of the series with a BANG, but until then we are just going to have to wait and see, if the too movies that have already been released have anything to tell us its that its only gonna get better and better.
